Stephen J. Roman, Jr., M.D. founder of The RegeneSpine Regenerative Spine and Joint Institute, has four board certifications including Regenerative Medicine (American Board of Regenerative Medicine), Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (Physiatry) (American Board of Medical Specialties), Pain Management (American Board of Medical Specialties), and Headache Management (American Interventional Headache Society). Doctor Roman is a fellowship trained, compassionate super-subspecialist who brings the power of regenerative medicine to his patients. RegeneSpine is a partner with The New Jersey Surgery Center. Doctor Roman participates in clinical studies on the treatment of spinal disorders with regenerative medicine and is active in teaching in the field of regenerative medicine.

Doctor Roman graduated Seton Hall University Cum Laude with a BS in Chemistry. He then graduated from New Jersey Medical School, now Rutgers Medical School. He completed a double residency program at New Jersey Medical School, in the specialties of Internal Medicine as well as Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. He then completed a prestigious American College of Graduate Medical Education approved fellowship in Pain Management at Emory Medical School. Before founding The RegeneSpine Regenerative Spine and Joint Institute, Doctor Roman had worked with the Trenton Orthopaedic Group (TOG) and Rothman Orthopaedics.
